Cannoli Pie is a spirit, not a cookbook--feel no need to center your submissions around food. Your work should, however, resemble our founding dessert in that it transforms the standard recipes of poetry and prose. What that means is up to you.

We're not asking for extremes (no need for muffins made from napalm; maybe just a dash of nutmeg where there once was cinnamon), but enjoy the liberty of tying in rhyme where there shouldn't be, or mixing a little meta into your fiction.

There is no such thing as a "submissions deadline" here. We publish small monthly issues so that we can constantly present new work and so that we never have to turn away a submission. Accepted submissions are typically published in the following month's issue, but this timeline is subject to change on a case-by-case basis. No submission will ever be turned away unread simply because of the date on which it was received. Please note that by submitting your work, you have agreed to give Cannoli Pie first electronic serial rights upon publication.
